Realizing the Power of God’s Kingdom

The gospel is called ‘a mystery.’ But it reveals lots of things to us.

Before Christ’s crucifixion, he said if he asked his Father, he’d have 12 legions of angels dispatched to him (Mat 26:53). A legion was a Roman term at the time. It consisted of 6,000 men, often more. So Jesus was talking about 72,000 angels or more. This number is only about 3–4% of the size of metro Denver, Colorado USA, where I live.

It is not a really huge number, comparatively speaking.
